For more than four decades, the television has acted as a unifying device, bringing families and friends together. In the days before DVR, you had to be parked in front of your TV in time to catch your favorite sitcoms when they first aired (or run the chance that it'd be months before you could see it again). By then you'd be way out of the loop, as everyone you knew loved the show and watched it. These shows, which were must-watch TV for million of viewers, are the greatest sitcoms of all time.
